The Foundry is located in beautiful New York and is a 19th Century building where originally fine varnishes were manufactured before it housed “The Albra Metal Foundry”. Their logo is still visible on the corner of the building at 9th street & 43rd avenue. By 1906, it was one of several steel foundries in Long Island City area that catered to the needs of NYC’s riverfront manufacturers.

“I love New York, even though it isn’t mine, the way something has to be, a tree or a street or a house, something, anyway, that belongs to me because I belong to it.”
